Make 1st in Smiles Part of Your Protection Plan
Professional teeth cleanings and comprehensive dental exams, will keep you on the good road. That’s because it will allow us to thwart any emerging cavities, gum disease, and more serious health concerns that may be emerging, including the silent killer, oral cancer.
When we are afforded the opportunity to keep close tabs on the situation in your mouth, we can eradicate little issues before they unfold into bigger (and more expensive) problems.
Dental Checkups Save Smiles and Sometimes They Save Lives
Our team does everything we can to make every patient feel more at-ease in our office. This includes sedation dentistry, when circumstances necessitate a little something extra for relaxation. When you are with us, we’ll make it pleasant and painless for you to get the oral health care you need, even if you have postponed your visit for longer than you should have.
During your checkup at 1st In Smiles, we will poke and prod your mouth looking for any noticeable changes in your teeth, gums, etc.. Our compassionate crew will also clean your teeth to remove any food, plaque, or tartar that has managed to stick around.
And we have even more to offer!
Other Preventive Features
Our basic checkups are great but there are additional ways for 1st In Smiles to help you keep cavities at bay:
In-Office Fluoride Treatments
Fluoride is a natural mineral that has been proven to strengthen your enamel and prevent tooth decay. We can provide you with some right here in our office. Our foam fluoride treatments are a powerful way to help prevent cavities and they can be completed in mere minutes.
Prescription-Strength Fluoride Take-Home Treatments
We can take it further, if you’d like. When we notice that you’re prone to cavities, we might prescribe an extra-strength fluoride treatment for you to use at home.
In-Office Fluoride Varnish
This is another quick, effective, concentrated fluoride treatment that we apply directly onto your teeth. As you can see, we like to give you plenty of fluoride options.
This treatment is good for folks of all ages. Dental sealants are a thin, clear coating made of plastic that we paint onto your teeth, usually your molars (back teeth), whose grooves and indentations make them more susceptible to bacteria buildup. These plastic barriers are common cavity prevention treatments for children, but they can also help adults whose teeth are cavity prone.
Ongoing Dental Education
We want to provide you with all the education you need to stay healthy. This blog is one platform that we use to relay useful dentistry-related information. On this site, we’ll regularly teach you about helpful ways to prevent tooth decay in-between your visits.
